Refund policy
Because we sell live animals, our returns work differently for livestock and for equipment. Either way, write to hello@reefkingcartel.com with your order number and we'll sort it out.
Live corals & livestock
Live corals are perishable goods. Under Spanish and EU consumer law, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to goods liable to deteriorate rapidly, which includes live animals. For that reason, live corals cannot be returned once delivered.
Instead, every coral is covered by our Live Arrival Guarantee: if a coral arrives dead or damaged beyond recovery, contact us within 2 hours of delivery with the required photos and we'll make it right with a replacement or store credit.
Equipment & supplies
Non-living products (lighting, pumps, salt, test kits, tools, etc.) can be returned under the standard 14-day right of withdrawal:
- Notify us within 14 calendar days of receiving the item at hello@reefkingcartel.com.
- The item must be unused and in its original packaging.
- Return shipping is paid by the customer, unless the item arrived damaged or defective.
- We refund within 14 days of receiving the return, to the original payment method.
Damaged or defective equipment
If equipment arrives damaged or develops a fault covered by the legal warranty, contact us and we'll cover the replacement or repair, including shipping. Statutory warranty rights under Spanish consumer law are unaffected by this policy.
